ABOUT
ME
Passionate About Your Power to Birth Your Baby
I was drawn to hypno-psychotherapy and mindfulness practice after many years working in the NHS and birth activism.

My career has spanned midwifery, doula-ing, anaesthesia, trauma and emergency medicine, paediatric and neonatal care, humanitarian work and nursing. Through countries and cultures, I have stood with parents through some of the most life-affirming situations of their lives.

For you, this translates as a mountain of practical knowledge and experience to help guide you to a place of calm, through what can sometimes feel like a maze of options for you and your birth.
In my midwifery and hypnobirthing practice, I am particularly drawn to the strength of nature around us and the power of grounding ourselves despite the noise in our lives. Mother Mountain Midwife was born of a beautiful metaphor once described by a client: that each surging contraction felt like climbing a mountain and walking down the other side as the power of it dissipated. Climbing mountains without running out of breath or losing hope takes preparation, and I hope to be your guide.

Besides hypnobirthing, as part of our sessions my Lay of the Land section meticulously guides you through your choices around birth and pregnancy and how to navigate the NHS.

The partner work we learn will give you confidence in how to support an active birth, using a variety of positions, movement techniques and environmental cues.
I draw on my experience in drama therapy to open up the floor to your questions and sometimes act with you through a range of scenarios - using play to guide you through the experience of new and potentially worrying situations and learn how best you would like to be supported if they were to occur.
The knowledge and practice that you gain will leave you assured and assertive in your birth map, your birth team and able to easily adjust to new situations and relax your body for birth.

As a KGH certified and Royal College of Midwives accredited hypnobirthing teacher, with extensive training in mindfulness and hypno-psychotherapy and yoga, I use my skills and lived experience to deliver a hands-on, interactive, gentle, evidence-based and empowering course.

No Facebook, no Instagram, no Tik-Tok, no time, I am afraid. It's just back to basics and back to birth, so that I can concentrate my energy and focus on the person in front of me.
Questions and skeptics and enthusiasm welcome!
